Bulembu Country Lodge has won the “Best Venue Award” on Inyatsi Swazi Frontier mountain bike stage race for the second year in a row.
Inyatsi Swazi Frontier mountain bike stage race recently presented the Award to Bulembu Country Lodge after receiving feedback from a selection of riders, sponsors and crew. “We have a short questionnaire which seeks and ranks feedback about certain aspects of their experience at each venue (which forms our “race village”) along our race route such as the level of hospitality and service, the comfort of the rooms and the quality of the food", said race organiser Lesley Foss. Our race travels from venue to venue around the north-west corner of Hhohho over 4 days with riders and crew staying in a different venue each night. The venues along the route of Inyatsi Swazi Frontier are Hawane Resort, Bulembu Country Lodge, Piggs Peak Hotel and Maguga Lodge.
Makhosini Mayisela, Manager of Bulembu Country Lodge, received the Award on behalf of the staff and management. “It is very intense preparing for the arrival of all the riders and when they arrive we work tirelessly almost around the clock. We are delighted to win this award for the second time. We noticed that the results were a lot closer this year which means that we must continue to work hard".
Foss continued “Inyatsi Swazi Frontier is a top-class mountain bike stage race, so it is a given that all the venues we use as race villages along our route are of a high standard which does make it challenging to choose one as being a cut above the rest”. The ranking based on feedback makes this process more objective.
The Best Venue Award was introduced by Inyatsi Swazi Frontier in 2013 and will continue to be presented annually. “It was great to see all the venues stepping up this past year which resulted in the best experience for our riders yet. Since most riders are tourists from foreign countries, this is great news for the venues as hopefully the riders will spread the good word. We are looking forward to the venues providing a top class experience for the 10th edition of Inyatsi Swazi Frontier which will take place this October". said Foss.
